Tracey Adams was born Deborah Blaisdell on June 7, 1959, in Severna Park, Maryland, U.S. She attended community college near Baltimore, Maryland and became a radio disc jockey, moving to the West Coast in 1981 to attend broadcasting school.
Tracey worked briefly at several small radio stations, but was unable to make ends meet, so in 1983, she took up an acting career to supplement her school fees. Later she did various topless roles in B films like
Lost Empire. Money from this helped her to further her education at the Musician's Institute in Hollywood.
However, she was still short of cash, so to pay her final semester fees, she entered the porn industry.
Tracey Adams first role as a major pornstar was in the 1985 movie,
Make My Night, but she was active in the porn film industry from 1983 until finally retiring (after several unsuccessful earlier attempts) in 1999. She performed in over 200 films, with many of the most famous pornographic performers of the time.
As well as her versatility, her voluptuous figure and the dynamism she brought to her sex roles, Tracey was known for her acting ability and intelligence.
Adam Film World wrote about her in 1987, "Adams can handle characters that few porn actresses dare attempt."
Tracey ended her full time work in the porn industry in 1992, but continued to do the occasional film as late as 1999. She was involved in a long-term lesbian relationship with another great pornstar legend,
Amber Lynn, with whom she performed in strip shows in Canada.
Since leaving the porn industry,
Tracey has continued her acting education, including training in improvisational comedy.
