Red head pornstar legend Shanna McCullough (also known as Nichole Thomas and Marcia Gray) was born on April 1st, 1960, into a large family.

She first started acting in high school, performing with the school's theatre group. After graduating, she went on to college and earned a degree in accounting, then worked for her father as an electrician. She also worked for a while as a vetinary technician.

In 1982, she spotted an advertisement in a local paper for pornographic performers and decided to apply. Her first wave of films was from 1982 to 1989, when she announced her retirement.

However, like many of her colleagues in the porn industry, Shanna McCullough has retired several times, only to return again, and even during her spells of retirement, she worked in other areas of the adult industry. At one point she stripped in clubs across North America. In fact, she is still involved in the adult industry today.

McCullough has received a number of awards for her work in the adult film industry, including 1988 AVN Award for Best Actress (Video)for Hands Off, 1997 AVN Award for Best Supporting Actress (Film) in Bobby Sox, and 2000 AVN Award for Best Supporting Actress (Video) in Double Feature.
